As gifts for family members, I have illustrated books. This involved a lot of sketching and planning, but I was very happy with the end results and it made for a great present.
Our Favorite Memories with Grandma + Grandpa
I grew up in a very large family, and one year for Christmas, I thought it would be fun to create an illustrated book for my grandparents that includes memories from all of the grandkids. I collected answers from each of my cousins and made an illustration for each based on the memory (and old photos if I could find them).
3 Year Anniversary Comic
Another book I’ve illustrated was for my then-fiance (now husband) to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. I storyboarded the different memories I wanted to include from when we first met up until us getting engaged, and then turned them into a comic.
